THE MAGIC OF WINTER WETLANDS

Siikaneva wetland area located in Pirkanmaa is a gorgeous place for a overnight hike in the winter. During this one night adventure we will go through everything you need to know about winterhiking. 

You need to have your own skis or snowshoes and proper clothing for winter as well as a winter sleeping bag (or two three season sleepingbags).

SKI EXPEDITION

URHO KEKKONEN NATIONAL PARK

Urho Kekkonen national park offers beautiful scenery and safety with wilderness huts to experience what winter ski expedition is all about. The silence and tranquility of winter sleeping in tents while frost nibbles you nose is once in a lifetime experience.

We will start by packing our sledges on March  (heading out on the ). We will ski a maximum of 10 kilometers per day.

You will need to have your own skis, skins and a sledge ( you can also rent them from a local business). You also need a winter sleepingbag (or two three season sleepingbags) and a sleeping mattress. Everyone is responsible for their own food, food- and water thermoses and camping stoves. You will need to have enough warm clothing for winter conditions.
